Through our Care, Prevention and Advocacy programs, we fight for their right to be safe, so their future is strong. We also support Dolly’s Dream to help change the culture of bullying by addressing the impact of bullying, anxiety, depression and youth suicide, through education and direct support to young people and families.

ABOUT THE ROLE

Reporting to the Head of Marketing, the Brand & Visual Designer is a member of the Development & Communications Team responsible for the creation and production of design assets for range of channels and audiences including our websites, email marketing, SMS, social media channels, digital advertising, print, and fundraising campaigns.

  • Be a key brand custodian for the Foundation: maintain and update key brand documents; ensure visual concepts and designs align with brand guidelines and accessibility requirements; drive brand consistency across all creative outputs; and champion the organisation’s visual identity standards internally.
  • Create, design and produce visual design assets and templates across a range of channels including web, organic and paid socials, email, digital advertising and print.
  • Translate complex concepts into simple and compelling designs.
  • Coordinate the end-to-end design and production cycle including ideation, planning, creative territories, design, presentation, feedback and review, execution, and continuous improvement.
  • Manage internal stakeholder design requests, providing guidance and direction on brand application and visual execution, ensuring deadlines are met while balancing quality, capacity and organisational needs.
  • Assist with the management and maintenance of the Foundation’s visual and digital asset bank and content management systems, ensuring inclusive design practices.
  • Participate in and contribute to plans, creative brainstorms, and campaign concepts.

This role is being offered as 0.8 – 1.0 Full Time Equivalent (FTE) , 2-year contract, formally based in South Melbourne. We are seeking a dynamic and creative designer who’ll play a pivotal role in delivering activity to help grow audiences, drive revenue, and strengthen engagement.

The Perfect You

If we could create the perfect you, you would be positive, self-motivated and curious, with the ability to work effectively as a member of a small team, and have:

  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in digital design working in-house or in an agency.
  • Strong brand management skills with a focus on consistency, detail and quality control
  • Demonstrated experience developing effective and engaging design assets for a range of channels including email, web, print, direct mail, and social media.
  • Extensive knowledge and expertise in Adobe Creative Suite (including Photoshop, InDesign and Illustrator), Canva, content management systems (Craft, Wordpress), and video editing software.
  • Well-developed communication and collaboration skills, experience, and maturity to relate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Exceptional ability to multi-task and project manage, with superb attention to detail.

We are the major specialist paediatric hospital in Victoria and our care extends to children from Tasmania, southern New South Wales and other states around Australia and overseas.

We are the designated state-wide major trauma centre for paediatrics in Victoria and a Nationally Funded Centre for cardiac and liver transplantation.
