As our new Brand Strategist based in Paris , you will join a fast-paced and ambitious marketing department dedicated to positioning Malt as the ultimate expert in the freelance ecosystemReporting directly to Nicolas Boye-Møller , you will play a pivotal role in defining, articulating, and safeguarding our brand’s strategic directionYour mission will be to ensure Malt remains distinctive, highly relevant, and perfectly aligned with our long-term global business objectives as we continue to scale across Europe.

Key responsibilities ✨

  • Develop the core brand platform, including purpose, narrative, and tone of voice, ensuring every marketing action aligns with business goals.
  • Analyze market trends, competitor behavior, and audience data to distill complex information into actionable communication insights.
  • Act as the "brand guardian," establishing clear guidelines to maintain total brand consistency across all internal and external touchpoints.
  • Partner with growth, creative teams, and external agencies to translate high-level strategic concepts into cohesive, impactful creative work.
  • Lead major brand launches and transformations by converting overarching strategies into clear, executable communication plans.
  • Strategize the amplification of brand content, collaborating with cross-functional teams to maximize reach, engagement, and visibility.

About you 🧑‍🚀

  • Background: High-level education ideally in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field.
  • Experience: Proven experience (+ at the end of your minimum years of experience) in brand strategy, planning, or brand management, ideally within an agency or a fast-growing tech environment.
  • Languages: English on a native level. Fluency in French or other European languages is a strong plus.
  • Skills & Competencies: Exceptional ability to build strategic narratives and synthesize heavy data into one singular, "aha!" insight :
  • Strong proficiency in market research, competitive intelligence tools, and campaign audience segmentation.
  • Deep understanding of the full media ecosystem, knowing how messaging adapts from high-level awareness to conversion-led performance marketing.
  • Diplomatic authority with the ability to say "no" to off-brand ideas constructively without stifling innovation.

How to join the mission? 🚀

  • Step 1: First introductory call with our Talent Acquisition Manager, Claudia, to understand your background and motivations (30 minutes)
  • Step 2: Deep-dive interview with the hiring manager, Nicolas Boye-Møller to talk strategy, brand vision, and expectations (45 minutes)
  • Step 3: Practical business case study followed by a presentation to key stakeholders from the Marketing and Creative teams (1 hour)
  • Step 4: Final interview with our CMO, Carla Lopez Martinez to debrief the case and discuss Malt’s long-term vision
