Job Description

Why join us?

Founded in Copenhagen in 2002 with the ambition of creating contemporary furniture, lighting and accessories for modern living, HAY’s vision is to create high-quality and well-designed products in collaboration with some of the world’s most talented, curious, and courageous designers. Through the commitment to sophisticated industrial manufacturing processes, HAY strives to make good design accessible to the widest possible audience.

BRAND MARKETING MANAGER (MATERNITY COVER)
Based in Copenhagen

We are looking for an experienced Brand Marketing Manager to join HAY’s Brand & Communications team at our global creative headquarters in Copenhagen. You will become part of a highly international and diverse creative environment, working closely with colleagues across the organisation.

While the current Senior Brand Marketing Manager will be on maternity leave, the strategic direction and overall leadership of the Brand team will remain with the Senior Director. This role is therefore not a one-to-one replacement, but an operational role with a clear focus on project management, coordination and ensuring steady progress across multiple ongoing brand initiatives.

This role plays a central part in driving and coordinating HAY’s global brand initiatives across content production, collaborations and brand experiences. You will work across projects to ensure that creative output is delivered on time, to a high standard and in line with the overall brand direction.

You will report directly to the Senior Director of Brand & Communications and work closely with the Brand & Comms team, as well as stakeholders across creative, marketing and commercial teams within the organisation.

This position is a maternity cover with a duration of approximately 10-12 months and a desired start date of 15 May 2026.

About the job

As Brand Marketing Manager, your primary responsibility will be to drive and coordinate complex brand projects across the organisation, ensuring that initiatives are clearly defined, well-structured and consistently moving forward.

Working closely with the Senior Director of Brand & Communications, you will translate strategic priorities into actionable project plans, define timelines and deliverables, and ensure that all stakeholders are aligned throughout the process.

The role requires a highly organised and proactive project leader who understands brand strategy but thrives in the operational side of brand building, including coordinating stakeholders, managing timelines and ensuring that creative work is delivered to a high standard.

In short, this role is about keeping brand initiatives moving, creating clarity across projects and maintaining momentum across the team during the maternity cover period.

Your responsibilities will include:

Brand initiatives & project leadership

  • Drive and coordinate the execution of global brand initiatives in close collaboration with the Senior Director of Brand & Communications.
  • Translate strategic priorities into clear project plans, timelines and deliverables.
  • Ensure initiatives progress efficiently and are delivered on time and to a high creative standard.
  • Act as a key connector between creative, marketing and commercial teams across the organization.

Content production

  • Coordinate the planning and production of brand content across photography, film and written formats.
  • Work closely with the creative team to ensure smooth production processes from concept to final delivery.
  • Ensure content supports both long-term brand building and key communication moments.

Brand channels & content coordination

  • Oversee the coordination and deployment of content across global marketing channels, including web, newsletters and social platforms.
  • Work closely with the Brand Editor and Online Content Coordinator to ensure alignment between content, timing and brand priorities.
  • Monitor performance and contribute to evaluation and reporting.

Collaborations & brand events

  • Support the planning and execution of brand collaborations with external partners.
  • Manage project timelines, processes and coordination between internal teams and external collaborators.
  • Oversee planning and execution of brand events, activations and international design fairs.

Team collaboration

  • Work closely with the creative team to coordinate projects and support production processes.
  • Create clarity across projects by aligning timelines, stakeholders and deliverables.
  • Foster strong collaboration across teams and departments.
