Brand Manager / Senior Brand Manager
Salary Range:
Brand Manager (Grade 15, Exempt). Annual salary range: $86,560 - $108,200. This range reflects the minimum to midpoint of the grade. Salary may exceed the midpoint and will commensurate with experience.
Senior Brand Manager (Grade 17, Exempt). Annual salary range: $114,320 – $142,900. This range reflects the minimum to midpoint of the grade. Salary may exceed the midpoint and will commensurate with experience.The Senior Brand Manager is responsible for planning and executing marketing and communications strategies to support our mission and programs. This position will assume substantial delegation authority from Marketing leadership to lead all aspects of the strategy for specified areas, including the effective utilization of outsourced talent as necessary to achieve organizational goals. Primary responsibilities of this position include creating and executing strategies for brand management and revenue generation, maintaining a favorable public image, organizational communication, and effective promotion of all Sourcewell services.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Manage brand(s) and coordinate brand support activities, using brand tracking and/or performance analysis to inform future brand activities.
Assist in achieving brand positioning, and lead on contributing ideas to brand plans.
Develop and deliver marketing campaigns across all media to support the business plan.
Develop and/or deliver a plan for an individual brand under guidance from senior colleagues.
Coordinate a comprehensive area of process to distinguish product/program positioning, analyzing market trends, and studying competitors.
Interpret the strategic marketing need and identify solution recommendations to business problems at a business unit level.
Produce workstream or project plans, ensuring that all activities are identified, are appropriately organized to deliver project objectives, and comply with the organization's project management framework.
Develop stakeholder engagement by identifying stakeholders; by finding out their needs, issues, and concerns; and by reacting to these needs, issues, and concerns to support the communication of business information and decisions.
Guide the building of collaborative relationships in a complex setting, strengthening both internal and external networks, facilitating collaboration, and fostering mutually beneficial partnerships across the full extent of the value chain.
Coordinate activities of subcontractors and vendors and act as their primary point of contact while working within an established contract to deliver successful advertising, promotion, and other marketing campaigns.
Execute a marketing plan for a particular product, service, or specialty area while working within established marketing systems.
Support the collection of data and participate in reviews of marketing activities to identify opportunities for improvements.
Plan and deliver small projects or workstreams, using an appropriate project management methodology to give assurance that intended outcomes are achieved.
Deliver a budget for an area of the organization or conduct complex analyses on budget progress in other areas of the organization.
Develop own capabilities by participating in assessment and development planning activities as well as formal and informal training and coaching; gain or maintain external professional accreditation, where relevant, to improve performance and fulfill personal potential. Maintain an understanding of relevant technology, external regulation, and industry best practices through ongoing education, attending conferences, and reading specialist media.

Required Qualifications
Brand Manager required qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in marketing, public relations, or communications OR a combination of post-secondary training, professional education, and related experience equivalent to four (4) years.
Three (3) years demonstrated industry experience; of which the total years of experience include:
Experience with brand management
Experience developing and implementing a marketing plan, organizational communication strategy and/or public relations strategy
Experience in strategic planning
In addition, the Senior Brand Manager required qualifications:
Six (6) years demonstrated industry experience; of which the total years of experience include:
Two or more (2+) years of demonstrated experience with brand management
Two or more (2+) years of experience developing and implementing a marketing plan, organizational communication strategy and/or public relations strategy
Two or more (2+) years of Experience in strategic planning.
Location:
This is a remote position, and is subject to Sourcewell's telecommuting policies and procedures.
On occasion, may be asked to travel to Staples, MN for meetings, professional development or team activities. Up to two to three (2-3) times per year. Notice will be given ahead of time.
