Job Description

We are looking for an energetic, experienced, and hands on Brand Manager, East Coast to join our team at The Hoxton.

The Brand Manager role is centered around creating energy, relevance, and cultural presence within the hotel and local market. The Brand Manager activates lobbies, restaurants, bars, public spaces, and guest experiences through thoughtfully curated events, partnerships, pop-ups, and collaborations that position The Hoxton as a hub for guests and locals alike.

The position is based on property in Chicago, supporting both The Hoxton, Chicago and The Hoxton, Williamsburg.

This role reports operationally to the hotel General Manager(s), with a dotted-line accountability to SHG’s marketing leadership to ensure alignment around brand standards, discipline-specific expectations, marketing accountability, and strategic direction.

What you’ll do…

Brand Activations & Programming

  • Develop and execute a year-round calendar of culturally relevant programming, activations, and experiences that drive local engagement and reinforce The Hoxton brand positioning
  • Activate hotel lobbies, restaurants, bars, rooftops, public spaces, and community areas through events, entertainment, partnerships, and experiential programming
  • Identify trends, emerging talent, and culturally relevant opportunities within the local market
  • Manage end-to-end execution of events including concepting, talent sourcing, contracting, operational coordination, run-of-show development, guest communications, and on-site execution
  • Partner closely with F&B teams to support seasonal programming, activations, and entertainment initiatives

Partnerships & Community Engagement

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with local creatives, tastemakers, artists, musicians, brands, entrepreneurs, wellness partners, and community organizations
  • Source, vet, negotiate, and manage local partnerships, collaborations, pop-ups, and sponsorship opportunities
  • Position The Hoxton as an active participant within the local cultural and creative community
  • Support influencer and creator relationship management in partnership with Ennismore teams

Brand & Creative Coordination

  • Brief The Hoxton’s Design Studio on all property-level collateral, event assets, menus, signage, promotional materials, and guest-facing creative needs
  • Develop clear creative briefs and ensure brand consistency across all activations and experiences
  • Coordinate photography and content capture needs for events, activations, partnerships, and programming
  • Support local storytelling and content development opportunities for global Hoxton social and brand channels

Property Brand Stewardship

  • Serve as the on-property brand lead and cultural ambassador for The Hoxton
  • Ensure all guest-facing experiences align with The Hoxton brand ethos, tone, and aesthetic
  • Partner cross-functionally with Operations, Revenue Management, Food & Beverage, Sales, and brand teams to support property initiatives and commercial goals
  • Participate in recurring brand, programming, and performance meetings with property leadership and brand stakeholders

Administrative & Operational Support

  • Manage contracts, invoices, vendor onboarding, and payment coordination related to programming and partnerships
  • Support monthly ownership and performance reporting related to brand activations, programming, partnerships, and marketing initiatives
  • Maintain organized event calendars, partnership pipelines, and activation planning documents

What we’re looking for…

  • You get us and feel a natural affinity to The Hoxton. You already know and love our spaces.
  • You have at least 3 years of previous programming and events experience is required, ideally across different industries and areas
    • Hospitality, lifestyle, fashion, music, food & beverage, creative agency, entertainment, or experiential brand backgrounds strongly preferred
  • You are deeply connected to the local culture, creative scene, and community within Chicago and Brooklyn
  • Enthusiastic, confident and warm; you’re comfortable being out and about at events, representing The Hoxton brand
  • You’re willing to travel 30% of the time to support Brand operations in New York
  • You are creatively ambitious and culturally curious; able to see ideas through from their inception to reality
  • You take ownership of issues, solve problems and make effective decisions within a team.
  • Ability to work positively and collaboratively to achieve the highest standards of delivery at work
  • You are highly organized with the ability to manage multiple moving pieces simultaneously
  • Your humble and open to ideas. We leave our egos at the door and help get things done
