What you will do:

Through (K)OL engagement, speaker development and national Peer-to-Peer (P2P) meetings, Brand Engagement Mgrs delivers the underlying intent of the brand strategy accurately and effectively to maximize patient outcomes in Japan.

The role reports to a Brand Engagement Lead within the relevant therapeutic area. In addition, the role works closely with Marketing as well as cross-functional teams, including Sales & Medical.

Brand Engagement Mgrs are responsible for building a group of faculty (K)OLs in the assigned area with a strong understanding of Amgen products and their clinical benefits, to shape quality P2P programs and improve standard of care for patients.

The role is also responsible for supporting Medical Representative (MR)-driven tasks such as area plans and area P2P in assigned sales districts.

This role is expected to demonstrate flexibility in prioritizing activities according to the product lifecycle within their assigned specialized area. Decisions regarding prioritization and task focus are governed and determined by the Brand Engagement Lead.

Key Responsibilities:

(K)OL engagement and speaker management

  • National/ Area speaker map & selection: Contribute to development of a Nationwide Map of potential (K)OLs speakers. Recommend speakers for P2P events to District Sales Manager.
  • National/ Area speaker slides: communicate and negotiate with speakers, managing requests and slide adjustments. Bridge slide review with Compliance team and speakers for approvals.
  • Medical Society, (K)OL engagement and speaker development: Meet with (K)Ols (F2F and remote) to communicate key brand messages, in order to elevate knowledge of the product and engage as Amgen ambassador to accelerate brand growth and improve patient outcomes.

P2P planning & execution

  • National P2P program planning: Responsible for planning the agenda and contents of national programs.
  • National P2P Speaker Evaluation: Conduct post-P2P event evaluation in terms of speaker's content and impact and identify areas for improvement to be discussed with the (K)OL as part of their ongoing speaker development.
  • Area P2P Support: If needed, BE can support sharing speaker list & speaker evaluation.

Faculty Strategy – Brand Engagement Manager Responsibilities

  • Identify, assess, and recommend potential faculty members based on influence, expertise, strategic fit, and area needs.
  • Develop and maintain strong working relationships with assigned faculty members to support long-term engagement objectives.
  • Execute regional faculty meetings and activities in alignment with the national faculty strategy and defined objectives.

Area plan enablement

  • Review and provide feedback on BPFs, POAs, and area plans developed by Product Managers and Sales teams.

Project work

From time to time participate in cross functional projects to contribute Brand Engagement insights and individual skills and experience.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree.
  • At least 7 years of experience in KOL management through MR, marketing, etc. at a pharmaceutical company
  • Excellent negotiation skills with internal and external stakeholders
  • Experience in P2P planning (marketing, lecture meetings, area sales, etc)
  • Understanding of concepts in adult education
  • Able to provide stable performance even in a hybrid environment of remote and real life
  • Language: able to understand verbal and written Japanese and English documents (congress material, paper) fluently
  • Experience in the therapeutic area assigned is preferred
