Founded in 2020 by Sander Joonyoung van Bladel and Veronika Strotmann, Yepoda is a certified B Corp™ and 1% for the Planet member, based in the heart of Berlin. Our products are available through our own online shop and, since March 2025, at Sephora Europe — online and in over 650 stores. With a team of 140+ brilliant individuals from around the world, we are actively shaping Yepoda's story every day.
At Yepoda, we believe great copy doesn't just describe — it connects, converts, and builds a brand people want to belong to. As our first Brand Copy Lead, you'll own the words that bring Yepoda to life across every touchpoint — from a campaign headline that stops the scroll, to packaging claims that earn trust at shelf, to performance ads that drive a click at scale.
This is an exciting opportunity to shape our brand voice. You'll work directly with our Head of Creative to define what copy means at Yepoda; evolving our tone of voice, building the systems and guardrails to protect it, and ensuring it flexes intelligently across our growing brand ecosystem. You'll be the creative conscience for every word that leaves this building.

Own and define Yepoda's tone of voice: articulate, document, and evolve a clear, distinctive TOV that reflects the Yepoda brand, bringing to the forefront our K-Beauty roots, our clean credentials, and our personality
Build and maintain a TOV guide that acts as a practical, living resource for the Creative team and cross-functional partners
Champion copy quality and brand distinction across every output, from major campaign to micro-copy
Write and oversee copy for campaigns, brand activations, product launches, and editorial content
Ensure TOV adaptation is thoughtful and channel-specific — what works on organic social won't work on packaging, and you'll know the difference instinctively
Own copy for packaging and retail environments, navigating compliance and regulatory requirements with confidence and creativity
Collaborate with Performance Marketing and CRM teams to deliver high-volume copy that converts — using AI tools and prompt engineering to scale without losing brand integrity
Establish clear workflows, briefing standards, and review processes for copy across the business
Act as the internal copy expert and educator — upskilling teammates and setting the bar for what great looks like
Brief and manage freelance copywriters when needed, ensuring consistent output against TOV
Work in close collaboration with creative partners to shape concepts together, not just respond to briefs
Build strong relationships with key stakeholders to drive impactful TOV in customer facing touchpoints
Stay deeply connected to the beauty landscape, D2C trends, and the conversations our customers are having
8+ years of copywriting and brand voice experience, with a strong track record in beauty, skincare, and/or retail brands
Fluent in English
A portfolio that demonstrates range — from brand-building campaigns to high-converting performance copy, you've done both well
Deep fluency in D2C brand building: you understand the full customer journey and know how copy drives acquisition, retention, and loyalty at every stage
Proven experience with compliant copy in regulated categories (cosmetics, beauty claims) — you know how to write with authority without losing personality
AI-forward working style: you're already using AI tools and prompt engineering to scale and ideate, and you're curious about pushing this further
A strategic mind paired with executional excellence — you can set the vision and write the copy yourself
A strong point of view on what makes a brand voice distinctive, and the conviction to defend it
Excellent collaborator and communicator — comfortable working across Creative, Marketing, E-Commerce, and Product teams
A genuine love of beauty and skincare — you're the person who actually reads the INCI list
Nice to Have
Experience working with Sephora or other major retail partners on in-store and digital copy
Familiarity with CRM platforms and lifecycle copy strategy (welcome flows, retention, win-back)
Experience building a copy function or TOV framework from scratch
Multilingual skills — English is our working language, but French, Italian or other European languages are a plus
