The Role…

We’re looking for an ambitious self-starter who wants to build an amazing career on the biggest women’s lifestyle brand in the UK.

As the Brand Assistant for Good Housekeeping, you will need to be brilliant with all kinds of people – members, senior editors, clients, celebrities, PRs and agents, as well as colleagues right across the business. You’ll be planning live events, producing member-only content, sourcing amazing offers and competitions, and supporting our Editor in Chief and GH MD in the day-to-day smooth running of the brand team. You’ll need great attention-to-detail and love balancing multiple priorities at once.

You will have a great degree of autonomy to generate good ideas and find ways to make them happen under your own steam. This is an entry-level job with loads of potential to make an impact quickly.

This is a full-time position based in our central London office 4 days a week with some evening work required on an ad hoc.

Main Duties…

  • Be the friendly, trusted point of contact for Good Housekeeping members, delivering exceptional customer service, managing member queries and ensuring a positive membership experience.
  • Coordinate the GH member events programme, collaborating with editorial and customer teams to plan, promote and deliver engaging member experiences, while sourcing speakers and developing new event ideas.
  • Create and support member-focused content across print, digital, social and the Rewards portal, helping to showcase the benefits of membership and contribute editorial ideas where appropriate.
  • Source and manage high-value member benefits, including competitions, offers and discounts, while working closely with the Good Housekeeping Institute to maximise members’ testing opportunities.
  • Collaborate across editorial, customer and brand teams to embed membership throughout Good Housekeeping’s content and ensure consistent promotion of the programme.
  • Provide administrative support to the Editor in Chief, including diary management, travel bookings, expenses and other day-to-day operational tasks that support the smooth running of the brand team.
  • Act as an ambassador for Good Housekeeping and Hearst UK, embodying company values while supporting additional projects and responsibilities as required.

What We Are Looking For…

  • Solid copywriting experience required
  • Experience working in a content creation or marketing environment is required
  • Knowledge of digital content management systems and email marketing systems is a distinct bonus
  • Some experience of live event delivery is useful but not essential
  • The most important thing is to be outgoing, confident and friendly, to love talking to people from all walks of life, and not to be afraid to pick up the phone and convince people – whoever they may be – to work with us. This is a job that you can’t do only over email! You will need to be energetic, focused and willing to learn, with a determination to make an impact in a short period of time.
