Job Description

Now Brewing – brand and cultural ambassador – 1912 Pike Place (Seattle) #tobeapartner

From the beginning, Starbucks set out to be a different kind of company. One that not only celebrated coffee and rich tradition, but that also brought a feeling of connection. We are known for developing extraordinary leaders who share this passion and are guided by their service to others.

1912 Pike Place is a historical and cultural landmark for Starbucks—a place where curated experiences and coffee craft bring the brand’s history to life. The brand and cultural ambassador role contributes to this experience by delivering exceptional hospitality, storytelling, and coffee expertise that creates meaningful, memorable connections with every guest.

This role is the heartbeat of the 1912 Pike Place experience—bringing Starbucks heritage, culture, and craft to life through engaging, authentic interactions that inspire discovery and deepen connection.

As a brand and cultural ambassador you will…

  • Deliver exceptional guest experiences by creating welcoming, inclusive, and personalized moments that exceed expectations
  • Bring Starbucks heritage to life through storytelling, sharing the brand’s history, values, and culture in engaging and accessible ways
  • Serve as a cultural ambassador, connecting guests to Starbucks, Pike Place Market, and the broader coffee community
  • Demonstrate coffee craft expertise, guiding tastings, tours, and educational moments that celebrate sourcing, roasting, and brewing
  • Support programs, events, and activations, including workshops, partner education, and community experiences
  • Represent the brand with authenticity and pride, acting as a living expression of Starbucks mission and values
  • Maintain operational excellence, supporting café experiences, retail knowledge, and visually compelling spaces

We’d love to hear from people with:

  • Passion for coffee, culture, storytelling, and hospitality
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage diverse audiences
  • Ability to translate history, culture, and coffee craft into compelling experiences
  • Demonstrated commitment to exceptional customer service
  • Adaptability and comfort in fast-paced, dynamic environments
  • Experience in hospitality, retail, museums, events, or brand representation (preferred)
  • Curiosity, cultural awareness, and a deep appreciation for craft and community
  • Current or recent Starbucks Partner Experience required

As a Starbucks partner, you (and your family) will have access to medical, dental, vision, basic and supplemental life insurance, and other voluntary insurance benefits. Partners have access to short-term and long-term disability, paid parental leave, family expansion reimbursement, paid vacation from date of hire*, sick time (accrued at 1 hour for every 25 hours worked), eight paid holidays, and two personal days per year. Starbucks also offers eligible partners participation in a 401(k) retirement plan with employer match, a discounted company stock program (S.I.P.), Starbucks equity program (Bean Stock), incentivized emergency savings, and financial well-being tools. Additionally, Starbucks offers 100% upfront tuition coverage for a first-time bachelor’s degree through Arizona State University’s online program via the Starbucks College Achievement Plan, student loan management resources, and access to other educational opportunities. You will also have access to backup care and DACA reimbursement. Starbucks will comply with any applicable state and local laws regarding employee leave benefits, including, but not limited to providing time off pursuant to the Colorado Healthy Families and Workplaces Act, and in accordance with its plans and policies. This list is subject to change depending on collective bargaining in locations where partners have a certified bargaining representative.
