Purpose of the Role

To represent and promote Pernod Ricard brands across trade and consumer channels, fostering authentic connections, enhancing brand visibility, and driving education and engagement through events, mentoring, and strategic activation.

Contract and compensation

The contract is through atemp agency (agenzia di somministrazione) The compensation range is 29.000€ - 34.000€ plus 5% bonus, and benefits.

Key Responsibilities

Brand Education & Mentoring

  • Inspire and educate in-market sales teams and trade partners on brand heritage, qualities, and characteristics
  • Execute mentoring programs with bartenders, bar managers, and mixologists to deepen brand knowledge and advocacy
  • Conduct tastings and educational sessions for consumers, opinion leaders, and influencers
  • Share product knowledge and mixology expertise to elevate appreciation and usage of Pernod Ricard products

Event Management & Trade Activation

  • Plan and execute impactful brand events that reflect the spirit of Pernod Ricard, ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory standards
  • Build and maintain relationships with flagship bars and on-trade outlets, supporting promotions, visibility, and staff education
  • Represent the brand at key industry and lifestyle events, fostering a convivial atmosphere and enhancing consumer experience
  • Coordinate logistics and resources to deliver seamless activations that resonate with target audiences

Brand Strategy & Market Insight

  • Support the implementation, tracking, and evaluation of promotional activities in collaboration with sales and marketing teams
  • Propose and trial new brand initiatives, leveraging international best practices and local innovation
  • Analyze market trends, competitor activity, and consumer feedback to inform strategy and improve brand positioning
  • Present brand activities to trade and lifestyle media, strengthening public relations and press engagement

Reporting & Analysis

  • Deliver quarterly reports covering market dynamics, brand performance, ambassador activities, and environmental analysis

Social Media & Communications

  • Develop and manage local social media campaigns targeting consumers, bartenders, and key contacts
  • Maintain a strong online and offline presence, sharing updates on events, mentoring sessions, and brand activations
  • Collaborate with marketing teams to ensure cohesive messaging aligned with brand values and mission

Mixology & Bar Excellence

  • Craft innovative cocktails that showcase product versatility and elevate brand experience
  • Maintain a professional bar setup, ensuring compliance with health and safety standards while engaging positively with patrons

Essential experience/background

  • Previous experience as a bartender or in the cocktail/bar industry, with a solid understanding of mixology and a medium-to-advanced level of technical expertise. The candidate should have hands-on experience behind the bar and a strong knowledge of spirits, cocktails, ingredients and bartending techniques.
  • Strong technical knowledge of spirits and mixology is essential. Recognised certifications such as WSET, AIS or equivalent industry qualifications are considered a strong plus. A background in Sales, preferably within the spirits industry, would also be highly valuable, particularly if combined with direct experience in the on-trade channel.
  • Italian language proficiency.
  • International bar experience or exposure to international cocktail scenes, bartending communities and hospitality environments is considered a strong plus.
