Job Description

Seeking an energetic, creative, and organized Brand Ambassador & Showroom Merchandiser to bridge sales support, trade relationships, and visual merchandising across two premier North Carolina design destinations.

This dual-role position splits weekly responsibilities between Furnitureland South (FLS) in Jamestown, NC (4 days/week) and the Kravet High Point Showroom in the 200 Steele Building (1 day/week). The ideal candidate will combine a strong passion for interior design, visual merchandising expertise, exceptional customer service, and proactive account management to drive brand awareness and sales growth across Kravet product lines.

  1. Furnitureland South (FLS) — Jamestown, NC

Focus: Sales Support, Design Consultant Engagement & Product Merchandising

  • Display & Merchandising Maintenance: Maintain and curate displays for Tomlinson-Directional Furniture and Kravet products within both the dedicated Tomlinson-Directional gallery and FLS primary resource rooms.
  • Interior Design Consultant Support: Work directly with FLS Interior Design Consultants to assist with product selections, schemes, quoting, and order management for their clients and projects.
  • Training & Education: Conduct regularly scheduled product and service training sessions for FLS consultants to elevate awareness and specification of Kravet products.
  • Relationship Building: Cultivate strong professional relationships with consultants and influence product selection in an active retail setting.
  1. High Point Showroom (200 Steele) — High Point, NC

Focus: Visual Merchandising, Display Setup & Showroom Operations Support

  • Visual Merchandising & Showroom Setup: Support monthly new product rollouts, display adjustments, and visual merchandising for fabrics, wallcoverings, trims, and furniture displays.
  • Inventory & Delivery Handling: Receive, unpack, inspect, and display incoming product shipments. Maintain accurate inventory guides and execute weekly discontinued product removals.
  • Designer & Guest Support: Welcome visiting interior designers and students, assist with project scheming, scan samples/visitors via internal systems (Oracle), and assist with basic quotes and order placement.
  • High Point Furniture Market Support: Participate fully in pre-market setup, floor merchandising, visitor tracking, and post-market breakdown during the twice-annual High Point Furniture Market (Spring and Fall).

Key Responsibilities

Straighten, organize, and refresh fabric/carpet/wallcovering libraries and furniture displays; receive/inspect deliveries; handle claims for damages; maintain accurate sample location records.

Assist interior designers with project schemes, quote requests, and order tracking; utilize CRM to log designer inquiries and route complex quotes/leads to outside sales reps.

Host product knowledge sessions for FLS staff; conduct showroom tours for design students/groups; assist with regional designer events and community outreach

Perform daily showroom open/close procedures on High Point days; log memo/sample checkouts; track visitor databases; maintain clean, well-supplied workspace and sample areas.

Job Requirements & Qualifications

  • Experience: Minimum of 2–3 years of professional experience in retail home furnishings sales, interior design, customer service, or showroom management.
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design, Business, Marketing, or a related field preferred.
  • Design Acumen: Strong color/design sensibility with demonstrated ability to scheme interior design projects.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills; comfortable presenting to and training group audiences.
  • Technical Proficiency: Proficient with Google Suite, CRM software.
  • Physical Requirements: Must be able to stand, walk, reach, lift, and move home furnishing items/samples in an active showroom and retail environment.
  • Schedule Flexibility: Full-time, in-person commitment including Fridays and Saturdays. Willingness to work extended hours during twice-annual High Point Furniture Markets.
