Objective
As a Counter Sales/Warehouse Associate at CE you will play a pivotal role in ensuring smooth operations and exceptional customer service. This multifaceted position combines elements of sales, customer service, and warehouse management. You will be responsible for assisting customers at the counter, processing orders, maintaining inventory, and ensuring the warehouse is organized and efficient.
Duties and Responsibilities
· Greet and assist customers at the counter with product inquiries, orders, and returns.
· Provide expert product knowledge and recommendations to customers.
· Answer phone inquiries and address customer needs promptly and professionally.
· Build and maintain strong customer relationships through exceptional service.
· Process customer orders accurately and efficiently using the company's computerized systems.
· Prepare invoices, quotes, and purchase orders.
· Upsell and cross-sell products to maximize sales opportunities.
· Handle cash, credit card transactions, and maintain a balanced cash drawer.
· Receive, inspect, and stock incoming merchandise.
· Conduct regular inventory counts to maintain accurate stock levels.
· Rotate stock to ensure the first-in, first-out (FIFO) principle is followed.
· Assist in replenishing stock and reordering inventory items as needed.
· Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment.
· Operate forklifts and other warehouse equipment safely and efficiently.
· Prepare shipments for delivery or pickup, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
· Assist with loading and unloading trucks when necessary.
· Stay up-to-date on product offerings, industry trends, and HVAC system components.
· Attend training sessions and product seminars to enhance product knowledge.
· Collaborate with other team members to ensure seamless operations.
· Assist colleagues during peak periods or when additional support is required.
In addition to the above responsibilities, this individual is held accountable for all other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
· High school diploma or equivalent; HVAC-related coursework or certification is a plus.
· Previous experience in HVAC or a related field is preferred.
· Strong customer service skills with a friendly and helpful demeanor.
· Proficiency in computerized inventory and point-of-sale systems.
· Ability to operate forklifts and other warehouse equipment safely.
· Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
· Ability to lift and move heavy objects, up to [weight limit].
