What You'll be Doing

Duties & Responsibilities

• Field incoming inquiries and follow up on warm leads (in-person, via phone, email, and other online sources) for potential used equipment sales and distribute leads to the appropriate Outside Salesperson for further follow-up.

• Provide support to the Sales Manager and Outside Sales Representatives including preparation of quotes, purchase orders, invoices, etc.

• Coordinate with the service team to prepare units for sale, ensuring compliance with customers' conditions and requests.

• Ensure branch inventory remains accurate.

• Participate in sales & promotional events (ie. trade shows, open houses, customer appreciation, etc.).

• Occasionally attend in-person client meetings with the Outside Sales Team.

• Support marketing initiatives by taking and uploading equipment photos for our website, advertising and/or in response to customer inquiries.

• Support with branch safety initiatives, and maintain a safety-first mindset

• Dispatch drivers and coordinate flow of equipment in and out of the used equipment branch.

• Coordinate with other Cooper branches on what equipment is on the disposal list and where / when to deliver.

• Maintain accurate tracking of equipment to Auction, coordinate with service team to make repairs at auction sites & invoice auctions accordingly.

• Assist customers in the branch.

• Ensure units listed for sale are available.

What You’ll Bring to the Team

 Qualifications and Requirements:

• Valid Class G driver’s license with a clean or satisfactory driver’s abstract (no more than three demerit points). You will be required to provide a copy of your updated driver’s abstract upon request

• 3+ years of experience in equipment rental coordination, dispatching, service operations or related roles.

• Highschool diploma or equivalent is preferred. Additional education or coursework is an asset.

• Strong product knowledge of construction equipment is preferred.

• Understanding of the construction and/or equipment rental industry is an asset.

• Strong communication and customer service skills.

• Leadership and team management skills; Leads with honesty, earns trust, and always does the right thing — even when no one’s watching.

• Must be very flexible and able to manage multiple priorities, shifting gears as needed in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

• Excellent problem-solving abilities, and able to stay professional and calm under pressure.

• Confident using tools like Excel and Word; PowerBI knowledge is a bonus. Systematics experience is also an asset.

• Knowledge of workplace safety standards and a commitment to maintaining a safe work environment for all employees.
