An established regional banking organization is seeking a dynamic, entrepreneurial Branch Manager to lead the launch of a new banking location in Lehi, Utah.

This is a unique opportunity for a sales-driven banking professional who wants to do more than manage an existing branch. The selected individual will play a central role in building a banking presence in a new market, developing business relationships, growing deposits, and establishing a strong reputation within the local business community.

Unlike a traditional branch management role, this position will require a significant commitment to external business development, with approximately 75% or more of the manager's time focused on developing relationships outside the branch.

Responsibilities

• Lead the successful launch and ongoing operation of a new banking location.
• Develop and execute a comprehensive business development strategy focused on Utah County.
• Spend significant time outside the branch prospecting, networking, and building new banking relationships.
• Establish relationships with local business owners, entrepreneurs, municipalities, chambers of commerce, and community organizations.
• Generate new consumer and business deposit relationships, with particular emphasis on sustainable core deposit growth.
• Identify, originate, and manage qualifying small-business lending opportunities.
• Partner with commercial and business banking teams on larger or more complex opportunities.
• Develop referral relationships with accountants, attorneys, business owners, and other centers of influence.
• Build awareness of the organization's banking services within the local market.
• Recruit, coach, and develop branch employees, with support from regional leadership.
• Oversee branch operations, customer service, regulatory compliance, and risk management.
• Establish a strong culture of accountability, sales performance, and exceptional client service.
• Track business development activity, relationship growth, deposit production, and branch performance.
• Collaborate with regional leadership to support the branch's long-term profitability and success.

Ideal Candidate Profile

• Demonstrated experience in retail banking, branch management, small-business banking, or related financial services leadership.
• Proven ability to generate new business through external prospecting and relationship development.
• Strong track record of growing deposit relationships and developing business banking opportunities.
• Experience managing, coaching, and motivating banking employees.
• Solid understanding of branch operations, lending fundamentals, regulatory compliance, and customer service.
• Comfortable operating in an environment without an established customer portfolio or significant existing market presence.
• Strong professional network within Utah County or southern Salt Lake County preferred.
• Experience working with small businesses, entrepreneurs, and local business owners.
• Excellent interpersonal, networking, communication, and relationship management skills.
• Self-motivated, resourceful, competitive, and comfortable working independently.
• Entrepreneurial mindset with a genuine interest in building a market and contributing to long-term organizational growth.
• Prior experience opening a new branch, developing a new territory, or significantly expanding an existing market is highly desirable.
