Job Type: Full-Time | On-Site

Compensation: $50,000 base salary + 2% OI performance bonus

Ascend Staffing is hiring a Branch Manager to lead our Kansas City, MO operations. This is an excellent opportunity for a proven people leader who enjoys developing teams, building client relationships, driving business growth, and managing day-to-day operations.

Staffing industry experience is not required. If you have at least one year of management experience and a track record of leading a team, managing customers, and achieving performance goals, we can provide the staffing industry training you need to succeed.

What You'll Do

As Branch Manager, you will be responsible for the overall performance and daily operations of the Kansas City branch, including team leadership, recruiting operations, client service, sales growth, and financial performance.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Lead, coach, and support branch recruiters and other team members
  • Manage daily branch operations, including recruiting, temporary employee placements, recordkeeping, and participation in on-call responsibilities
  • Establish branch goals and ensure performance expectations, operating procedures, and key metrics are met
  • Monitor branch performance and prepare financial and operational reports
  • Deliver a high level of service to clients, employees, and job candidates
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with existing clients
  • Conduct regular client communication and quarterly business reviews
  • Identify opportunities to expand existing accounts and grow branch revenue
  • Meet established sales and business development goals
  • Help drive market growth, profitability, and overall branch performance
  • Coordinate with sales representatives to ensure a smooth transition and successful launch of new client accounts
  • Identify operational challenges and develop effective solutions

Required Qualifications

  • At least 1 year of management or supervisory experience
  • Experience leading and developing a team
  • Demonstrated ability to manage goals, priorities, and performance expectations
  • Strong customer service and relationship-management skills
  • Strong problem-solving and objection-resolution skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to communicate professionally with employees, clients, and company leadership
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Microsoft Excel
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Regular and reliable on-site attendance

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience in staffing, recruiting, workforce management, retail, wholesale, or another service-based business
  • Experience with business development, sales, or account management
  • Experience using customer relationship management (CRM) software
  • Experience working with financial or branch performance reports
  • Bilingual English/Spanish skills

Work Environment & Expectations

  • This is an on-site position in the Kansas City, MO area
  • Occasional travel may be required
  • Participation in branch on-call responsibilities may be required
  • Hours may occasionally exceed 40 hours per week based on business needs
  • Regular use of computers and standard office equipment is required
