Team Global Express is entering an exciting new chapter. With fresh energy, a renewed strategy, and a commitment to doing things differently and we’re looking for a Branch Manager for our New Plymouth team to help us keep delivering.

About the role - Mō te tūranga

This is a hands-on leadership role where you’ll drive operational excellence, lead a high-performing team, and ensure outstanding customer service.

Reporting to the Area Manager, your Key Responsibilities include:

  • Take full ownership of branch financial performance, including P&L, EBIT, cost control, and forecasting.
  • Lead a customer-focused team, working closely with customers and sales to deliver outstanding service.
  • Strategically plan people, resources, and transport to achieve business goals.
  • Inspire and develop your team, fostering a culture of growth and high performance.
  • Drive growth, efficiency, and align the team with the evolving needs of the business.
  • Manage key metrics: utilisation, claims, DIFOT, safety, and customer service.
  • Champion a safety-first culture, ensuring compliance with health and safety standards.
  • Collaborate with national and regional teams for shared success.

You’re a proven people leader who thrives in fast-paced environments. You’re confident in making decisions and aren’t afraid to roll up your sleeves when required.

Additionally, you will bring:

  • 5+ years' experience in an operational leadership role (transport, logistics or similar)
  • Proven capability with planning and delivering to that plan
  • Excellent communication skills
  • A positive and proactive approach to problem solving.
  • A strong Health & Safety focus
  • Confident with reporting, IT systems, and data management
