Branch Finance Supervisor

The Branch Finance Supervisor is responsible for overseeing branch finance operations and partnering with local commercial teams to develop finance strategies that support business objectives. The role plays a critical part in ensuring strong financial controls, regulatory compliance, accurate reporting, and asset protection while driving overall branch performance. The position also leads financial analysis, credit management, process improvements, and people development initiatives to support sustainable business growth and operational excellence.

As a Branch Finance Supervisor, you will:

  • Partner with Commercial Business Unit (CBU) leaders and field teams to provide financial insights, business recommendations, and support for branch initiatives and operations.
  • Drive branch performance by monitoring and analyzing key business KPIs, including credit utilization, sales-related metrics, and operational controls.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, internal controls, audit requirements, and local statutory regulations.
  • Manage credit control processes and help ensure credit limits support business growth while minimizing financial risk.
  • Preserve the accuracy and integrity of financial and customer-related information through proper documentation and digital record management.
  • Oversee monthly closing activities to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting.
  • Perform data analysis and fraud detection reviews using various reporting tools and systems to identify risks, trends, and improvement opportunities.
  • Prepare reports, dashboards, and financial insights to support decision-making across the business.
  • Lead, coach, and develop the Branch Finance team while driving succession planning, capability building, and employee development initiatives.
  • Support projects, process improvement initiatives, and other business priorities assigned by management.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or any related discipline. CPA is an advantage.
  • At least 5 years of total work experience, including a minimum of 3 years within an FMCG environment and 2 years in a supervisory role.
  • Strong understanding of financial operations, accounting controls, compliance management, and credit management processes.
  • Experience leading teams and developing people through coaching, mentoring, and performance management.
  • Strong business partnering, stakeholder management, and communication skills.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving capabilities with the ability to translate financial data into business recommendations.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including advanced functions and formulas.
  • Knowledge of ERP systems; SAP experience is an advantage.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, work independently, and perform effectively under pressure.
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and focused on continuous improvement.
