We currently have an opportunity for the Branch Executive Assistant to join our Steinbach teamAs the Branch Executive Assistant you will ensure the seamless flow of day to day branch operations by way of leadership to the File Department and administrative support to the Director, Retail Sales along with other departments.

Specific Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive administrative support to the Director, Retail Sales and department managers, including document preparation, staff communications, and records management.
  • Lead, coach, and develop File Department staff to ensure consistent delivery of exceptional member service and effective document management, while ensuring compliance with privacy legislation and credit union policies.
  • Plan and coordinate staff appreciation and fundraising initiatives, including sourcing vendors, managing event logistics, and monitoring budgets.
  • Coordinate SCU community and special events to ensure seamless execution, enhance community presence, and generate positive brand exposure.
  • Respond to inquiries from members (internal and external) and vendors, addressing questions and resolving concerns in a timely and professional manner.
  • Oversee scheduling and daily operations of the File Department to ensure alignment with service standards and organizational objectives.
  • Foster a collaborative, positive work environment through open communication and strong working relationships with staff.
  • Support branch security protocols through effective communication, record maintenance, and staff training.
  • Manage and maintain inventory levels of office supplies and equipment to support efficient branch operations.

Qualifications

  • Grade 12 diploma combined with one year of post-secondary education in a business-related discipline, plus 4–6 years of relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Strong technical proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, complemented by strong interpersonal, organizational, and time management abilities, with a high degree of accuracy.
  • Demonstrated success, or strong capability, in coaching, mentoring, and developing team members to achieve performance objectives.
  • Highly developed customer service skills, with the ability to effectively support both internal and external members.
  • Experience within a Credit Union environment and familiarity with related products and services would be considered an asset.
