Our Story & Purpose:

We’re Vancity, a member-owned credit union built on the principles of inclusion and social justice. Since 1946, our relentless commitment to these values has helped us challenge the status quo and break down barriers. We’ve made bold commitments to become net-zero by 2040 across all mortgages and loans, and we’re actively pursuing strategies in Indigenous banking and financial resilience for our members.

As the largest private sector Living Wage Employer in Canada, we’re proud to be consistently recognized as one of the country’s Top Employers. If you’re ready to join our team of 2,300 diverse individuals, access competitive rewards and benefits, and be part of a greater movement - apply today!

Your Role in Supporting Our Members:

As a Branch Business Account Manager (BBAM), you will deliver relationship‑based financial advice to personal and business members through in‑person, phone, and virtual interactions. You’ll manage a broad portfolio of complex banking needs—including personal lending, residential mortgages, and business banking solutions—while proactively identifying opportunities for growth through campaigns, referrals, and bundled solutions. This role is ideal for a relationship‑driven financial professional who thrives in community‑focused environments and is passionate about reconciliation, Indigenous prosperity, and long‑term member impact.

This is a Full‑time, Permanent role based at our Sen̓áḵw Village Community Branch (Branch 75) and will report directly to the Branch Management Team

How You'll Make an Impact:

  • Building and deepening trusted relationships with members through proactive, needs‑based conversations
  • Managing complex personal and business banking transactions including lending, deposits, and mortgages
  • Analyzing member cashflow to identify immediate, secondary, and long‑term financial needs
  • Documenting tailored advice in CRM as part of an ongoing relationship and advice continuum
  • Proactively contacting members to support growth across multiple lines of business
  • Collaborating with internal specialists to deliver full‑spectrum financial solutions
  • Participating in branch campaigns, education sessions, and recognition activities
  • Supporting a welcoming, culturally respectful branch environment grounded in trust and inclusion

What You’ll Bring to the Team:

  • Post‑secondary education or diploma in Finance, Commerce, or a related field
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in an Account Manager role with solid lending experience
  • Proficiency in residential mortgage lending and business credit applications
  • Demonstrated success in sales, referrals, and relationship‑based business development
  • Completion of one of the following: IFIC, CSC, or CIFC
  • Completion of CUIC 210 and Financial Planning I
  • Two additional courses within a CFP Core Curriculum program (e.g., BCIT, CSI, Advocis, Ashton College)
  • Completion of CUSOURCE courses including Self‑Employed Borrowers, Financial Statement Composition, and Intro to Business Statement Analysis

Extra Skills That Set You Apart:

  • Strong performance in Sustainable Wealth Management referrals
  • Experience serving small business or self‑employed members
  • Deep relationship‑building experience within diverse or underserved communities

You’ll Thrive Here If You Are:

  • Committed to reconciliation – You identify as Indigenous or are a dedicated ally and are energized by advancing Indigenous prosperity through financial services
  • Relationship‑first You prioritize trust, patience, and long‑term connection over transactional success
  • Curious and growth‑oriented You continuously seek to expand your knowledge and improve results
  • Collaborative and confident – You work well across teams and exercise sound judgment with discretion
  • Inclusive and authentic – You bring your lived experience to your work and actively challenge bias

We value lived experience, so if you are interested in this role, we encourage you to apply even if you feel your skills don't perfectly align with those listed.

What You’ll Earn:

This role offers a salary range of $41.36 per hour to $46.05 per hour Base pay offered may vary depending on factors such as relevant qualifications, skills, previous experience, and internal equity. As part of our total rewards package, employees may also be eligible for our annual incentive program, subject to program eligibility requirements.
