The Ministry of Energy and Minerals is responsible for sustaining the interests of Alber-tans through the stewardship and responsible development of energy and mineral re-source and pore space systems. The Strategy and Market Access Division is responsible for leading work on strategic priorities such as market access, implementing the government's natural gas mandate, strategic foresight and economic analysis.
The division consists of three branches:
The Energy Futures Branch leads the development and implementation of energy strategies related to natural gas infrastructure, LNG export opportunities, value-add initiatives, hydrogen, critical minerals and modernization of the energy regulatory system. The branch conducts engagement with key stakeholders and also provides strategic advice on Government of Alberta participation in pipeline regulatory processes.
The Engagement and Partnerships Branch provide strategy and advice to the Minister, Deputy Minister, and the division’s Assistant Deputy Minister on internal and external stakeholder engagement opportunities. The branch builds and maintains strategic networks in Calgary across the energy eco-system and supports policy leadership in methane management, advances infrastructure partnerships, and delivers energy literacy through the Energy Knowledge Academy. The branch also supports the Government of Alberta's participation in key negotiations with the federal government, other provinces, and industry.

Reporting to the Executive Director, the Branch Administrator & ARTS Coordinator provides administrative, operational, and ARTS coordination support to ensure the effective day to day functioning of the Branch and its leadership team.
Key responsibilities include:
You will demonstrate strong proficiency using MS Office (expert Word and PowerPoint, advanced Outlook, intermediate Excel), advanced SharePoint and intermediate Visio skills are required. A well developed written communication skills, including strong grammar, structure, and attention to detail, are essential. Strong proficiency in developing budget forecasts and expenditures/ invoice reviews is essential.
