We are looking for a full time Metal Brake Press operator to join our client's team in Montreal, QC.

Responsibilities

• Perform setup and operation of custom metal brake press machines to bend and form metal sheets according to customer specifications
• Read and interpret customer blueprints and specifications to ensure accuracy and precision of formed parts
• Measure and inspect parts to ensure they meet customer specifications
• Adjust machines as necessary to achieve desired results
• Troubleshoot and resolve machine issues as needed
• Maintain a clean and organized work area
• Follow all safety protocols and procedures

-You understand the safety risks in a metal manufacturing operation and are focused on safety first

-You inspect the work being produced, and despite the never ending pressure of tight deadlines, you know when something needs to be better in order to delight our customers with quality workmanship

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in custom metal brake press setup and operation
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and specifications
• Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
• Ability to stand for long periods of time
• Willingness to work overtime as needed
