This position monitors the functions of the boiler and refrigeration equipment to ensuring efficient, safe, and compliant operation of heating and cooling systems, which are vital for maintaining product quality and safety. This position has the responsibility of performing routine preventative maintenance as well as performing unplanned repairs while supporting operations.
Performsmaintenance workandcare of equipment settings, pressures, or levelswithin plant guidelines; general maintenance on other specialty equipment unique toboiler and refrigeration
Understands and can explain the purpose and operation of all equipmentrelated to boiler and refrigerationandmakesdecisions onappropriate troubleshootingand repair of equipment as situationswarrant
Starts up,operates, and shuts down related equipment and systems.
Diagnosesand repairsproblems with valves, pneumatic and hydraulic equipment, pumps, motors,etc
Readsoperating instructions and maintenance manuals to perform repairs.
UpdatesCMMS (computerized maintenance management system) with status and details of work order results daily.
Performs non-routine maintenance jobs as assigned.
Maintainsorganized workspaces, tools,support 5S, and documentation

Education/ Certifications:(Required & Preferred)
High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) preferred.
Lock-out/Tag-out certification isrequired If you are not qualified, you will be trained and must meet certification requirements
Skills and Experience:
Experience performing maintenance in a manufacturing environment, specifically food processing highly preferred.
Experience with Ammonia or Freon refrigeration systems highly preferred.
Effectively communicate in English verbally and in writing. Ability to understand instructions and follow directions in English, both written and oral. (Requirementmay vary by location).
Must be able to be qualified withintime framesestablishedbyfacility
Ability to perform basic math functions,required
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have basic computer operation knowledge, data entry skills, and be proficient in Microsoft Office programs

Exposed to a noisy environment that varies from hottocold in temperature

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
Exposed to temperatures ranging from -20 degrees below zero to 35 degrees Fahrenheit in Freezer Operation and 37 degrees to 90 degrees Fahrenheit in Plant Operation
Climbing to various heights via stairs or ladders on a regular basis
