This role sits at the intersection of technical expertise and strategic sales within the bioprocessing and life sciences industry, focusing on chromatography resin solutions. You will work closely with biopharmaceutical customers to support process development, scale-up, and commercialization of biologics by providing deep technical consultation and application guidance. The position combines scientific knowledge with commercial responsibility, requiring you to identify opportunities, influence product selection, and drive revenue growth across assigned territories. You will act as a trusted advisor to key accounts, supporting complex molecule pipelines and helping customers optimize downstream processing workflows. Working in a highly collaborative, science-driven environment, you will engage with cross-functional teams including marketing, product management, and account leadership. This is a high-impact role where technical insight directly contributes to advancing life-changing therapeutics from discovery to delivery.
Accountabilities:
- Drive chromatography resin sales through technical consultation, application support, and strategic account development across assigned territories.
- Identify and close new business opportunities by leading design-in and spec-win activities using deep product and application expertise.
- Manage key customer relationships, track molecule pipelines, and proactively influence customer decision-making for resin adoption.
- Achieve revenue targets through accurate forecasting, territory planning, and coordinated execution with account managers.
- Collaborate with marketing, product, and commercial teams to execute seminars, trainings, user days, and product launches.
- Provide insights on market trends, customer needs, and competitor activity to inform product and business strategy.
- Maintain CRM systems, ensure pipeline visibility, and support data-driven sales execution.
- Support customers throughout the development-to-commercialization lifecycle, ensuring timely issue resolution and high satisfaction.
Requirements:
- Master’s degree or PhD in Biological Sciences, Biochemistry, Biotechnology, or related field.
- 6–8 years of experience in downstream processing within the biopharmaceutical or life sciences industry.
- Strong technical expertise in chromatography resins and bioprocess purification workflows.
- Proven experience in technical sales, application support, or customer-facing scientific consulting roles.
- Strong communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills with enterprise or scientific stakeholders.
- Ability to manage complex projects, prioritize effectively, and deliver results in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience using CRM tools for pipeline management, forecasting, and customer engagement tracking.
- Familiarity with GMP/cGMP and regulatory documentation standards is a strong advantage.
- Willingness to travel within the assigned territory for customer and internal engagements.
