About the Role

Delaware Valley Floral Group is seeking a dependable, safety-focused Shuttle Driver to join our Indianapolis, Indiana, team. This full-time position is responsible for safely transporting fresh flowers and related products between designated locations while maintaining product quality and supporting efficient distribution operations. The ideal candidate is punctual, professional, and committed to safe driving practices and reliable service.

What You’ll Do

  • Safely operate a refrigerated box truck or other assigned company vehicle to transport products between designated locations.
  • Ensure timely transportation of fresh flowers and floral supplies while protecting product quality throughout the trip.
  • Complete pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections and report maintenance needs or safety concerns promptly.
  • Maintain a clean, organized vehicle and ensure equipment is handled properly.
  • Follow assigned routes and use maps or GPS to support efficient travel and on-time arrivals.
  • Load, unload, and handle products safely, using appropriate equipment when necessary.
  • Communicate professionally with warehouse personnel, dispatch, and other team members to coordinate transportation activities.
  • Follow company policies, safe driving practices, and all applicable Department of Transportation (DOT) requirements.

Work Environment & Physical Requirements

This position involves extended periods of driving, along with activities such as standing, walking, bending, reaching, and climbing in and out of the vehicle. The role may require loading and unloading products weighing up to 60 pounds, as well as working in warehouse and refrigerated environments.

Candidates must be able to perform the essential functions of the position, with or without reasonable accommodation.

Other Information

  • Work Location: Onsite — Indianapolis, Indiana
  • Employment Type: Full-time

Schedule: Sunday through Thursday, with a start time around midnight. Shifts continue until assigned duties and routes are completed.

  • Hours: End times may vary depending on route requirements and operational needs.
  • Travel: Local or regional travel between designated company locations is required as part of the shuttle route.

Qualifications

What You’ll Bring

  • A valid driver’s license and the ability to obtain and maintain DOT medical certification, as applicable to the assigned vehicle and route.
  • At least two years of professional commercial driving experience, preferably operating a 16-foot box truck or larger vehicle.
  • A safe and acceptable driving record.
  • Ability to meet applicable minimum age requirements and pass required pre-employment screenings.
  • Strong awareness of vehicle safety, traffic laws, and proper driving procedures.
  • Comfort using GPS, maps, and route-planning tools.
  • Strong communication, time management, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently while maintaining positive working relationships with team members.
  • Dependability, punctuality, and flexibility to work overnight hours and complete assigned routes.
  • Ability to handle physical responsibilities associated with loading, unloading, and transporting products.
