Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and dependable Box Truck Driver to join our team at Making A Difference Foundation. As a Box Truck Driver, you will be responsible for picking up and unloading donations from vendors and community donors, as well as making deliveries to our disabled and elderly clients. You will also be responsible for the maintenance and cleanliness of the delivery vehicle, ensuring it is in safe and working condition at all times. In addition to driving and delivery duties, you may also be required to perform warehouse tasks during non-driving times, such as sorting, stocking, bagging, and clean-up. We are looking for someone who is reliable, detail-oriented, and committed to providing excellent customer service.

Requirements

Requirements:

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
• Experience driving a box truck or similar delivery vehicle is preferred
• Ability to lift heavy objects (up to 50 lbs) and walk up stairs
• Experience working with diverse populations
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and in a team
• Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including weekends
• Knowledge of DOT regulations and safety standards
• Familiarity with basic vehicle maintenance and repairs
• Good time management and organizational skills
• Ability to adapt to unexpected situations, such as traffic or weather conditions
• Willingness to undergo background checks and drug testing as required
• CDL preferred
