POSITION TITLE: Boutique Director

DIVISION / DEPARTEMENT: Fashion / Retail

REPORTING TO: Fashion Director

Two Haute Couture collections, six seasonal Ready-to-Wear and accessories collections and two sportswear and lifestyle-inspired capsule collections - Coco Beach and Coco Neige - offer a style that captures the spirit of the times and is part of women's everyday lives. As Boutique Director, you are responsible for defining and executing the Boutique's strategic vision, ensuring sustainable business growth while embodying CHANEL's values and leadership principles. You inspire teams to deliver exceptional client experiences, cultivate meaningful relationships with clients and the local luxury community, and lead the Boutique with a balance of commercial excellence, operational rigor, and people development. As the face of the House, you play a key role in strengthening CHANEL's presence and influence within the Mexican market.

BUSINESS & STRATEGIC OWNERSHIP

  • Define and execute the Boutique business strategy in alignment with the Fashion Division priorities and CHANEL Mexico objectives.
  • Drive sustainable business growth by delivering sales, profitability and client development targets while preserving the highest standards of luxury retail.
  • Translate commercial objectives into actionable business plans, ensuring flawless execution across all Boutique activities.
  • Analyze business performance, identify opportunities and implement action plans based on client insights, market trends and competitive landscape.
  • Monitor sales, KPIs, productivity, profitability and operational performance, ensuring sound decision-making and effective resource management.
  • Lead business reviews with the Retail Director, providing clear analysis, recommendations and follow-up actions.

Client Experience & Brand Influence

  • Act as the ultimate ambassador of CHANEL, ensuring every client interaction reflects the House's values, service philosophy and commitment to excellence.
  • Drive an exceptional client experience by embedding the CHANEL Client Relation Promise throughout the entire client journey.
  • Develop long-term relationships with VIC and top clients, strengthening client loyalty and Boutique influence within the local luxury community.
  • Collaborate with Marketing and Client Engagement teams to execute local events, activations and initiatives that reinforce CHANEL's brand desirability.
  • Promote Fashion creation and styling expertise, positioning the Boutique as the reference destination for luxury Fashion in Guadalajara.

People Leadership

  • Inspire, coach and develop a high-performing Boutique team by fostering accountability, collaboration and continuous learning.
  • Build an inclusive culture where people are empowered to grow, deliver results and embody CHANEL leadership behaviors.
  • Drive talent development through regular coaching, performance conversations, succession planning and individual development plans.
  • Ensure effective workforce planning, productivity management and organizational efficiency.
  • Partner closely with Human Resources to support recruitment, onboarding, employee engagement and talent retention initiatives.

Operational Excellence

  • Ensure Boutique operations comply with CHANEL standards, internal policies and local legal requirements.
  • Guarantee operational excellence across inventory management, cash handling, compliance, security and loss prevention.
  • Partner with Visual Merchandising, Supply Chain, Finance and Retail Excellence teams to ensure seamless Boutique operations and execution.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement by identifying operational efficiencies while maintaining an exceptional client experience.

Cross-functional Collaboration

  • Collaborate effectively with all corporate functions to ensure alignment with business priorities and successful execution of strategic initiatives.
  • Lead and support transformation projects, embracing innovation and driving change management across the Boutique.
  • Represent the Boutique within the local leadership community and contribute actively to the overall success of the Fashion Division.

What you will bring

  • Extensive experience leading luxury retail boutiques with full P&L accountability.
  • Strong commercial acumen and proven ability to drive sustainable business growth.
  • Demonstrated success managing high-performing teams through coaching, development and inspirational leadership.
  • Solid experience in clienteling, VIC development and luxury relationship management.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate business insights into action.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and collaboration skills across multiple corporate functions.
  • High emotional intelligence, sound judgment and the ability to lead in a fast-paced luxury environment.
  • Passion for Fashion, luxury craftsmanship and CHANEL's values.
  • Fluent Spanish and Advanced English required; proficiency in additional languages is a plus.
