Under the direction of the Boutique Supervisor, the Boutique Associate is responsible for a variety of duties. While cashiering, this role manages daily cash transactions, while consistently providing a welcoming and friendly experience to customers both in person and over the phone. In processing duties, the associate ensures timely receiving, sorting, tagging, and placement of incoming merchandise within the retail store. Additional responsibilities include accepting donations and promptly stocking the sales floor, all while maintaining courteous and attentive service to customers.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Reinforce and positively engage in Opportunity Village’s organizational culture supporting the choice and creativity of team members with and without services.
- Process all merchandise efficiently and properly following the standards and quotas of Opportunity Village.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization throughout the store, including the sales floor, restrooms, breakroom, sorting area, register area, fitting rooms, and entryway by performing routine cleaning, sanitizing, waste removal, and restroom supply replenishment.
- Operate the cash register to process sales transactions, bag purchases, and redeem promotional coupons.
- Record register totals and balance the cash drawer at the beginning and end of each shift.
- Review price sheets to identify pricing updates and promotional items.
- Return fitting room items to the appropriate racks by size and color.
- Respond to telephone inquiries in a professional and courteous manner and operate the public address (PA) system as needed.
- Support merchandising activities by assisting with the pricing, stocking, and presentation of merchandise.
- Provide courteous assistance to customers with donation drop-offs and merchandise carry-outs.
- Rotate between assigned work areas as directed by leadership to develop proficiency in store operations and processing functions.
- Maintain the sales floor by recovering merchandise and ensuring a clean, organized, and customer-ready presentation.
- Stock, replenish, and merchandise sales floor inventory to maintain an organized, well-presented, and customer-ready shopping environment.
- Report suspected Abuse, Neglect, Exploitation, Isolation, and Abandonment (ANEIA) immediately as mandated by state law.
- Adhere to Opportunity Village's established policies and procedures.
- May be assigned other duties as needed.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
The Retail Associate has no supervisory responsibilities.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- Required: High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Preferred: Prior work experience in retail or similar role.
- Preferred: Experience working with individuals with disabilities.
