We are seeking a motivated Bottling Operator/Maintenance Tech 1 to join our production team. In this role, you will operate and monitor bottling line equipment, including fillers, cappers, labelers, case packers, and palletizers, while helping ensure every product meets our quality and food safety standards. You will support routine equipment maintenance, assist with line changeovers, and use forklifts to manage inventory and stage materials for production. This position is ideal for a detail-oriented, safety-conscious individual who thrives in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and takes pride in keeping operations running smoothly and efficiently.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Bottling Operations:

• Operate and monitor bottling line equipment including fillers, cappers, labelers, case packers, palletizers, depal, case former, partition inserter and conveyors.
• Perform changeovers, setups, and adjustments to all bottling equipment to accommodate different product formats.
• Ensure accurate labeling, fill levels, closures, and packaging meet quality specifications.
• Monitor line efficiency, minimize downtime, and report any equipment or process issues promptly.
• Follow Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) and food safety guidelines at all times.
• Ability to perform end of shift flush and CIP on all lines
• Ability to accurately gauge bottling tanks

Mechanical Responsibilities:

• Perform routine maintenance (lubrication, adjustments, cleaning) on bottling equipment.
• Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical issues on the line to minimize downtime.
• Assist maintenance team with equipment rebuilds, overhauls, and preventative maintenance schedules.
• Maintain tools and equipment in safe, working condition.
• Support continuous improvement efforts by suggesting and implementing process or equipment improvements.

Quality & Safety:

• Conduct line checks and inspections to ensure compliance with quality standards.
• Complete required documentation (production logs, downtime reports, maintenance records, Quality Inspections, etc.).
• Adhere to company safety policies.
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment, ensuring compliance with BRC/food safety standards.
• Identify and implement sustainable practices within the team/department to align with the company’s environmental goals.

Requirements

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Prior experience as a temporary employee within this department through one of our staffing partners, completing at least 580+ hours worked.
• High school diploma or equivalent; technical or trade school training preferred.
• 2+ years of experience in bottling, packaging, or manufacturing operations (wine, beverage, or food industry preferred).
• Mechanical aptitude with hands-on experience in troubleshooting and repairing production equipment.
• Basic knowledge of electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems is a plus.
• Ability to read and interpret manuals, schematics, and SOPs.
• Strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Willingness to work flexible shifts, overtime, and weekends as needed.

PHYSICAL/MENTAL REQUIREMENTS:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to do the following:

• Walk, kneel, bend, or stand for prolonged periods.
• Perform some repetitive motion activities.
• Coordinate multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Regularly lift, move, carry, and stack boxes up to 50 lbs.
• Maintain focus and attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.
• Operate a forklift.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

• This is an on-site position at our Parlier, CA facility.
• Work normally occurs in a bottling warehouse or cellar where temperatures are moderate and noise levels are moderate.
• Floor may be slippery when wet; proper footwear is required.

California Pay Transparency Notice: This position is classified as non-exempt. The base compensation range for this role is $23/hour. Candidates are generally not hired at or near the maximum of the base compensation range. Final salary placement will depend on several factors, which may include the candidate’s qualifications, education, relevant experience, and alignment with current market data.
