Job Description

Boston Parks & Recreation's youth recreation series and events improve quality of life and promote economic balance by providing convenient, free, high-quality, instructional, and team-building programs to underserved and economically disadvantaged communities. Serving several demographics, including at-risk populations and children whose families cannot afford summer sports camps, leagues, or sports-specific series, these events and programs offer a vital means of bringing safe and enriching activities to parks in densely populated areas.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

- Assist in managing day-to-day activities. - Provide direct supervision of program participants at all sites. - Help with planning and scheduling site programming. - Maintain an inventory of equipment and materials. - Keep accurate records of attendance for program participants.

The Ideal Candidate for this Job

- Experience working with youth. - Ability to communicate effectively with children and their parents. - Physically active and able to engage in sports-related activities. - Knowledge of volleyball or other sports is required.
