Job Description

Boston Parks & Recreation's youth recreation series and events improve the quality of life and promote economic balance by providing convenient, free, high-quality, instructional, and team-building programs to underserved and economically disadvantaged communities. These programs serve several demographics, including at-risk populations and children whose families cannot afford summer sports camps, leagues, or sports-specific series. By offering these events and programs, we provide a vital means of delivering safe and enriching opportunities to parks in densely populated areas.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

Responsibilities: - Help manage day-to-day activities of program participants at the site. - Assist with planning and scheduling site programming. - Maintain an inventory of equipment and materials. - Help keep accurate records of attendance for program participants. - Perform all other appropriate duties as assigned by the Ronan Park Sports Center Director, - Adult Program staff, or Senior Counselors.

- Some experience working with youth - Ability to communicate effectively with children and their parents - General sports based background - Must be physically active - Must be proactive
