Roles and Responsibilities

• Manage bookkeeping for Australian clients using Xero, including day-to-day transactions, reconciliations, and journal entries.
• Prepare BAS/IAS statements accurately and on time.
• Handle payroll processing in Xero; TANDA experience is a bonus but not essential.
• Ensure all bookkeeping tasks comply with Australian accounting standards and internal policies.
• Work directly with Australian-based managers to support smooth financial operations.
• Maintain accurate financial records and assist with month-end and year-end reporting.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements in bookkeeping and reporting workflows.
• Communicate effectively with clients and internal teams regarding financial matters.
• Support audit preparation and respond to queries from clients or external auditors.
• Use Dext (if applicable) to manage bills, invoices, and expense tracking.

Required Experience

• Minimum 2 years Australian Xero bookkeeping experience in a multi-client firm (5+ years preferred).
• Experience in BAS/IAS preparation.
• Payroll experience in Xero.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work directly with Australian managers.
• High attention to detail and accuracy.
• Proactive, self-motivated, and highly organized.

Experience Advantage

• Dext experience (ideal but not essential).
• Experience with Karbon practice management software.
