Bookkeeper - DepartmentResponsible for providing bookkeeping and administrative assistance to the department. Develops and promotes good community relations among various community members and school clientele.
ESSENTIAL PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
• Occasional lifting, five (5) to ten (10) pounds
• Constant sitting
• Occasional bending and squatting
Assist with providing data for district auditing and transparency purposes.
Manage verification of incoming goods, invoices, and packing slips against purchase orders.
Review financial activity report and budget report on a monthly basis; report to appropriate departments.
May maintain the petty cash fund.
Maintain and secure appropriate files and data lists.
Monitor and respond to all department user requests, including email and phone calls in an accurate, complete, and timely manner.
May process district and federal mail.
Perform other related duties as assigned or requested.
Support all department programs by assisting with managing customer accounts and third party financial institutions (such as CCAP, credit card merchants, collections, and other accounts)
May provide individual and/or group support and training for department apps and financial software.
Continually seek feedback from stakeholders in order to implement updates to improve the experience with department business systems.
Process purchase orders.
High School or Equivalent (Required)
Accounting knowledge, Effective organizational skills, General computer knowledge, Verbal and written communication skills in English and a demonstrated ability to read and comprehend written/graphic and oral instructions
