About the Role
We’re a fast-growing digital marketing agency looking for an experienced Bookkeeper to manage our day-to-day financial operations. The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and fluent in QuickBooks Online and Bill.com, with strong skills in Google Sheets or Excel. You’ll play a key role in keeping our finances accurate, timely, and compliant while supporting leadership with clear financial reporting.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records using QuickBooks Online.
Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable via Bill.com.
Perform monthly reconciliations for bank accounts and credit cards.
Prepare and maintain financial reports, including P&L statements, balance sheets and custom reports for leadership.
Track expenses, budgets, and cash flow for multiple clients and internal projects.
Utilize Google Sheets or Excel to create and maintain financial trackers, and reconciliations.
Assist with payroll processing and contractor payments.
Support month-end and year-end close processes.
Coordinate with external accountants and tax professionals as needed.
Ensure compliance with accounting standards and company policies.
3+ years of bookkeeping experience, preferably in a marketing agency, or service-based business.
Advance proficiency in QuickBooksOnline and Bill.com
Strong working knowledge of Google Sheets and/or Microsoft Excel.
Solid understanding of basic accounting principles and best practices.
High attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
Excellent communication skills and ability to work independently in a remote setting.
Experience working with digital marketing agencies or professional services firms.
Familiarity with project-based or retainer-based billing.
Experience supporting payroll and contractor invoicing and payments.
Basic understanding of financial forecasting or cash flow budgeting.
Familiarity with agency specific tools (e.g. HubSpot, Asana, Slack).
