Reporting to: Financial Manager / Senior Accountant

About the Role

Are you an experienced and detail-driven Bookkeeper looking to grow your career in a dynamic and supportive team? We're on the lookout for a proactive finance professional to manage our day-to-day bookkeeping functions and help maintain accurate financial records.

In this role, you'll be working independently, handling full-function bookkeeping up to trial balance, including VAT submissions, reconciliations, and month-end duties. If youre passionate about numbers, process-oriented, and committed to compliancethis role is for you.

Requirements:

• Matric with Accounting (essential)
• Diploma/Certificate in Bookkeeping or Finance (preferred)
• SAIPA, ICB, or similar (completed or in progress is advantageous)
• Solid knowledge of relevant SA legislation (e.g. VAT Act, BCEA)
• 3-5 years in a similar bookkeeping role (preferably in a medium-sized business)
• 3-5 years Payroll expereince
• Strong knowledge of Sage, Xero, Pastel, or similar systems
• Experience in multi-entity environments is a plus

What Youll Do

• Handle full-function bookkeeping up to trial balance
• Process and reconcile accounts payable/receivable
• Reconcile bank accounts, credit cards, and intercompany transactions
• Submit VAT, PAYE, and statutory returns
• Maintain cashbooks, general ledgers, and fixed asset registers
• Support month-end and year-end processes
• Assist with payroll journals and reporting
• Collaborate with external auditors, SARS, and other stakeholders

Skills:

• Accuracy and attention to detail
• Strong understanding of accounting principles
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word
• Great time management and the ability to work independently
