Job Description
Amazon MGM Studios seeks a Booking & Distribution Manager, Theatrical Distribution for Spain to execute sales and distribution strategies for all local theatrical releases. This role implements local strategic plans, manages exhibitor relationships, coordinates release scheduling for Spain, and provides business intelligence reporting. The Booking & Distribution Manager drives local sales operations to optimize box office performance and profitability for each title, while executing local market strategies aligned with global studio objectives. This position reports to the Head of Spain Theatrical Distribution.
Key job responsibilities
- Execute local sales strategies across theatrical releases that align with commercial objectives
- Support local deal negotiations under the guidance of the Head of Spain Theatrical Distribution.
- Develop and maintain strong exhibitor relationships to drive release performance in Spain
- Assist with weekly session planning for Spain and negotiate with local exhibitors to secure optimal terms and holdovers to maximize screen count
- Analyze market trends, audience behavior, and box office performance to inform tactical decisions for Spain
- Coordinate operations and technical delivery standards across exhibition partners in Spain
- Manage festival distribution activity for the slate in Spain, coordinating submissions, premieres and curator relationships
Basic Qualifications
- Proven experience in theatrical distribution or entertainment sales
- Demonstrated ability to cultivate exhibitor relationships and negotiate effectively
- Proficiency in business and industry intelligence tools (Tableau, Power BI, Comscore, Numero, Showtimes)
- Strong analytical mindset with ability to manage multiple priorities and meet competing deadlines
Preferred Qualifications
- Knowledge of the Spain theatrical exhibition market dynamics and trends
- Familiarity with film industry economics, revenue models, and box office analytics
- Problem-solving mindset with ability to adapt to rapidly changing market conditions
