Job Description

The Office of Single-Family Housing, Loan Administration Division is looking for a dedicated Bond Accountant 1 who will perform loan administration duties on single-family second mortgages, which includes:Processing requests for lien releases, forgivenesses, subordinations, assignments, assumptions, and recapture reimbursements Verifying amounts payable and generate payoff lettersReviewing loss mitigation requests such as modifications, short sales, deed-in-lieusAmortizing second mortgage series and clearing up over/short paymentsLooking up and entering data on bankruptcy and foreclosure actionsResponding to requests and providing documents as appropriateTracking communication and actions in file notes and storing documents in correct foldersAnswering agency phones for 3+ hours a day and monitoring faxes and routing calls or faxes to correct departmentFor a complete description of the job duties, please read the Bond Accountant 1 position description for position number 20082125. Qualifications

Applicants must show in their application how they meet the following classification minimum qualifications:24 months training or 24 months experience in accounting. OR completion of undergraduate core program in accounting, finance, economics, business administration or public administration. OR equivalent of Minimum Class Qualifications for Employment noted above. The equivalent of an undergraduate core program in the disciplines listed above is 2 years experience in accounting, finance, economics, business administration, or public administration.
