Title: Boilermaker/Boiler Service Technician

Location:

This job is based out of our Grandview, MO office but our team members may go directly to a scheduled jobsite each day.  Relocation assistance will be provided for any non-local candidates selected for hire.

Provide planned and emergency services to Watertube, Firetube and auxiliary support equipment. Perform and lead the welding of code and non-code items/structures.

  Essential Functions:

• Function as the lead on core welding projects, for ASME code and standard welds.

• Ability, aptitude, and desire to learn complex boiler mechanical and electrical troubleshooting and preventive maintenance.

• Drive daily to customer sites, occasionally spending the night for complex assignments.

• Other duties as assigned. 

Education: High School diploma or equivalent. 

Experience and Requirements: 

• The ability to pass an ASME certified 6G test is mandatory. 

• Basic mechanical and pipefitting skills.  

• Ability to stay overnight for complex projects and work weekends and after-hours for emergency situations.

• Prior Boilermaker experience preferred.

Travel: Daily local travel with up to 50% overnight travel.

Physical Skill and Effort: 

As a Service Technician, you will need to be able to lift and carry up to 50+ pounds and will require climbing, bending, being on your feet for long periods of time, stooping, and working in confined and elevated areas. Safe daily driving and infrequent out of town travel will be necessary.

Working Conditions and Hazards:  

Able to work in confined and elevated areas. Able to stoop, bend, crawl, and stand for prolonged periods of time.
