Heidelberg Materials Australia are seeking an experienced Boilermaker to join our fabrication and construction team, supporting the upgrade and build of new concrete batch plants across Queensland.
This is an exciting opportunity to be involved in major plant construction projects, working both in workshops and on-site environments. We are looking for someone who is safety-focused, highly skilled, and driven to deliver high-quality outcomes.
About the Role:
Reporting directly to the Project Manager.
Working within the fabrication and construction team on new plant builds and upgrades.
MIG and Stick welding and fabrication of key plant components including Aggregate holding bins, Aggregate weigh bins, Conveyors, Heavy beam structures and Cement weigh bins
Modification of plant and equipment to meet required standards.
Site installation of plant, equipment, and infrastructure.
Decommissioning of old and redundant plant.
Combination of workshop fabrication and on-site installation work.
About You:
Certificate III in Engineering – Fabrication Trade (Boilermaking).
Minimum 5 years’ experience in a similar role, ideally within steel fabrication or plant maintenance.
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings.
Must successfully pass a weld test (MIG/Stick) to demonstrate competency.
Forklift licence (required).
Highly regarded tickets include Confined Space, Working at Heights, Elevated Work Platform (EWP) and Dogman
Strong commitment to safety across all aspects of work.
Proven ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
Results-driven with a strong focus on achieving project outcomes.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
