Heidelberg Materials Australia are looking to recruit an experienced Boilermaker to perform maintenance activities for our operations. Our workshop is at Nudgee, and we service sites across Gold Coast, Brisbane and Moreton Bay Regions.

This is a permanent full-time role with expected overtime and the inclusion of occasional weekend work. This role also includes a fully equipped company maintenance Ute, a fuel card, a toll tag and a company mobile.

We are looking for someone who is passionate about safety, results focused and has a strong work ethic.

About the Role:

  • Working 6:30-3:00pm Mon-Thurs, 0630-0100 Friday plus overtime.
  • Base rate is $41.67, plus penalties.
  • MIG, TIG and Stick welding doing fixed plant maintenance and repairs.
  • Majority of work is fixed plant maintenance at various sites around Brisbane.
  • Metal work: fabrication, cutting, grinding, drilling, etc.
  • On-site work and workshop work.
  • Conduct risk assessments (including rescue & lift plans).
  • Conduct routine fixed plant inspections.

Background and Experience required:

  • Boilermaker experience – concrete/quarry/mining industries preferred.
  • Knowledge and understanding of safety systems, work methods and risk assessments.
  • Confined Spaces, Working at Heights, and Forklift preferred tickets
  • Other tickets will be highly regarded: Current First Aid Certificate. EWP, Dogging/Rigging.
