The Opportunity
Downer’s Energy & Utilities team is seeking a qualified Boilermaker to join our Mechanical Team, delivering maintenance and small capital upgrades for industrial customers across the Newcastle region. This is a local, site‑based role offering steady daywork, a supportive crew environment, and the opportunity to work on a variety of industrial projects across the area. Your day starts on site—PPE on, basic tools in hand—before you jump into the work Ute with your teammates and head out to support our clients. At the end of the shift, you return home with your evenings free.

About You

• Trade Qualified: Hold a Boilermaker trade qualification with experience working within the heavy industry.
• Technically Proficient: Skilled in maintenance, fabrication, or industrial project work.
• Team Oriented: Have an ability to work effectively within a team with well-developed communication skills and a commitment to safety
• Site Qualifications: Hold full working rights in Australia, White Card and willingness to undertake a pre-employment medical.
• Also hold a Forklift, EWP and Working at Heights ticket – highly desirable but not mandatory
