Shift: Graveyard | Some training will be on day shift
Schedule: 12 hour shifts | 7 PM - 7 AM | 3 days on, 4 days off / 4 days on, 3 days off | Monday-Wednesday / Monday-Thursday

Pacific Wood Laminates is seeking a dedicated, safety-focused Boiler Operator to support the continuous, efficient operation of our 24/7 boiler systems. This hands-on role requires a self-motivated, detail-oriented individual who is comfortable working in a fast-paced industrial environment. The Boiler Operator will play a critical role in ensuring the reliability and safety of our steam generation systems that power production.

Key Responsibilities:

• Must be able to learn and apply knowledge of boilers, fuel systems, steam, and basic power plant operations.

• Operate, monitor, and maintain industrial boiler systems to ensure safe and efficient performance.

• Perform routine inspections, preventative maintenance, and troubleshoot boiler equipment issues.

• Accurately maintain appropriate documentation of boiler logs.
• Monitor and adjust boiler parameters through the computer system.
• Clean out grates, ash bins, and hoppers on a consistent schedule to prevent excess build-up within the boiler system.
• Operate the loader to supply fuel to the boiler.
• Maintain facility cleanliness from the fuel shed to the boiler.
• Repetitive handling of materials weighing up to 50 lbs.

• Ensure compliance with all safety regulations, company policies, and environmental standards.

• Respond promptly to operational issues or emergencies, including off-shift support when necessary.

• Collaborate with maintenance and production teams to optimize system performance.

• Must be able to work overtime, including nights, weekends, and holidays, when required.
• Perform other necessary duties as assigned by the Supervisor.

Qualifications / Skills Required:

• Previous experience operating industrial boilers or similar equipment strongly preferred.

• Strong understanding of safety procedures and a commitment to maintaining a safe work environment.

• Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and adapt to changing priorities.

• Comfortable performing physically demanding work, including lifting, bending, and climbing.

• Willingness to work long hours, weekends, and holidays as required.

• Basic computer skills for logging and reporting.

Physical & Work Environment Requirements:

• Must be able to work in high-temperature and noisy environments.

• PPE (personal protective equipment) must be worn at all times in designated areas.

• This position requires standing, walking, climbing, and lifting up to 50 lbs.
