As the Boiler Operator Chief, you'll operate and maintain the boiler plant for the medical campus, ensuring safe and efficient facility operations and support building systems, supervise a team of rotating shift boiler operators, perform hot water boiler maintenance, and respond to alarms or emergency repair requests.

Education Qualifications:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate and maintain boiler plant for medical campus.
  • Observe and dispatch maintenance engineers for building automation system alarms regarding HVAC systems, fire safety systems, emergency generators, and patient care equipment.
  • Maintain and perform checks regarding hot water boilers around campus
  • Additionally, may respond to emergency repair requests and carry out additional responsibilities as delegated.

Boiler Operator Chief position has a +10% pay increase from the standard pay grade ($44.12 OR $45.87)

Licensure/Certification Qualifications:

  • Minnesota Chief B boilers license or greater
  • Must meet the driving requirements and criteria acceptable to Essentia Health’s insurer.
