Shift Supervisor – Dining Division

Location: Airport Restaurant Environment
Pay: Competitive Hourly Rate
Classification: Non-Exempt
Reports To: General Manager

We are hiring a hands-on BOH Shift Supervisor to lead daily kitchen operations, support team performance, and ensure every dish is prepared safely, efficiently, and to brand standards. This role is ideal for someone who leads by example, stays calm under pressure, and knows how to keep a kitchen team focused and productive during busy shifts.

What You’ll Lead and Own

  • Oversee day-to-day back-of-house operations in a high-volume dining environment
  • Direct and support kitchen team members during food production
  • Ensure food quality, consistency, and presentation standards are met
  • Coach employees on kitchen procedures, food safety, and sanitation standards
  • Monitor staffing coverage and task completion throughout the shift
  • Address operational challenges and maintain workflow efficiency
  • Support opening and closing kitchen procedures
  • Verify prep completion, inventory levels, and station readiness
  • Ensure compliance with SOPs, sanitation requirements, and food safety regulations
  • Coordinate with management on shift performance and operational needs

What You’ll Do Daily

  • Assign stations and priorities at shift start
  • Keep kitchen production organized, efficient, and on schedule
  • Check prep levels, inventory, and equipment readiness
  • Monitor food handling, cooking procedures, and quality standards
  • Jump in where needed — prep, line, expo, receiving, or kitchen support
  • Maintain a safe, respectful, team-focused work environment

What We’re Looking For

  • Previous restaurant, culinary, or food service experience required
  • Leadership or supervisor experience preferred
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
  • Comfortable making decisions during high-volume periods
  • Clear communicator with a team-first mindset
  • Reliable, detail-oriented, and action-oriented
  • Able to work varied shifts including weekends and holidays

Physical & Work Requirements

  • Stand and move for extended periods
  • Lift up to 50 lbs as needed
  • Work in a fast-paced, high-volume kitchen environment
  • Comfortable with varying temperatures, kitchen equipment, and noise levels
