
Job Title: Body Shop Technician – Heavy Duty
McCarthy Tire is seeking an experienced Body Shop Technician – Heavy Duty to repair, fabricate, and restore heavy-duty truck bodies and structural components. The ideal candidate has strong welding and metal fabrication skills and takes pride in quality workmanship.
Repair or replace damaged truck body panels, frames, and structural components.
Perform MIG, TIG, and oxy-acetylene welding on steel and aluminum.
Straighten and align frames using frame machines and measuring systems.
Cut, shape, and fabricate metal parts, including custom panels and components.
Prep, paint, and finish truck body components.
Ensure all work meets safety and quality standards.
Collaborate with mechanics, painters, and other technicians to complete repairs efficiently.
Experience in heavy-duty body repair and fabrication.
Strong welding, cutting, and metal forming abilities.
Knowledge of heavy-duty truck structures, frames, and suspension systems.
Proficient with hand tools, power tools, and body shop equipment.
Technical training in automotive or collision repair is an asset.
