The primary role of the Reconditioning Technician is to perform a variety of tasks that will overhaul, rebuild and renovate the vehicle to bring the condition of the exterior and interior back to a presentable condition.
• Perform paint-less dent removal (PDR) Ex: doors, fenders, roofs, and hoods
• Inspect vehicle/inventory repair minor door dings and dents as needed for dealership and customers
• Wash/dye interior (carpets/leather etc.)
• Must be able to perform wheel and or rim repair/refinishing
• Painting of small items such as bumpers, hoods, mirrors etc
• Examine damaged vehicles to estimate repair procedures
• Complete work in accordance with applicable safety requirements
• Perform work as outlined on repair orders
• Complete proper documentation and record keeping on repair orders
• Perform proper tool and equipment usage and maintenance
• Inspect vehicles on dealership lots for PDR repairs
• Continuously expanding your knowledge for new technologies and practice
• Use a computer to utilize factory software to send service details to service advisors
• Work as a team along with the estimators communicating clients vehicle needs
• Previous PDR/reconditioning tech experience required
• Degree in collision repair, automotive technology or military equivalent experience
• Other duties to be determined by management
• Must have basic tools
• Must be a minimum of eighteen years of age
• Must have a valid Driver's License
• Must be able to pass pre-employment screen(background & drug test)
