Day in the life...
As the Collision Shop Manager, you will lead day-to-day operations while fostering a customer-first culture that consistently exceeds expectations. You will be responsible for welcoming clients in a friendly, professional manner and ensuring every interaction builds long-lasting relationships and encourages customer loyalty. Collaborating closely with insurance adjusters and internal teams, you will maintain strong working relationships to streamline repair processes and drive customer satisfaction. Your leadership will motivate and support collision center personnel.
You will oversee scheduling and work plans, monitor the quality of completed repairs, and ensure warranty procedures and safety protocols are followed at all times. Budget management, including the preparation and execution of the annual operating budget, will be a core component of your responsibilities. You will also be expected to implement creative marketing strategies to increase sales and drive business growth.
Using your knowledge of MPI’s report card and direct estimating process, you will conduct thorough examinations of damaged vehicles, assessing the extent of structural, mechanical, and cosmetic damage. You will evaluate repair versus replacement options—whether for bumpers, fenders, or full bodywork—and prepare cost estimates for both labour and parts. Additionally, you will provide estimates for retail paint jobs, customizations, or specialty vehicle modifications. Ensuring timely follow-up on customer accounts and promoting a safe and efficient workplace will round out your role as a trusted and impactful leader within our organization.
