Rogers Group is currently seeking candidates for a BOAT PILOT position at our Tennessee River Sand and Gravel operation, located in Linden, TN The successful candidate for this role will have experience operating a commercial vessel in various waterways, and an uncompromising focus on safety excellence.

• TN River Sand & Gravel – Rogers Group Inc – Linden, TN

• Wages starting at $25.00/hr. Higher pay for skilled pilots with significant experience. Overtime available and extensive medical and retirement benefits.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Assure safe crew and vessel operations through use of Rogers Group safety systems and policies.
• Assure safe and efficient vessel navigation through compliance with the “rules of the road”, practicing good seamanship and boat handling skills.
• Comply with and ensure crew compliance with USCG and environmental laws and regulations.
• Delegate vessel responsibilities, duties, and tasks as needed considering crew members experience and abilities.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Uncompromising focus on safety excellence.
• At least two years of proficient experience operating commercial vessels – preferred.
• Able to operate vessel with precision and excellence in varied conditions.
• Ability to pick up on new tasks quickly.
• Flexibility to work overtime and weekends when necessary.
• Possess all needed licenses and certifications.
• Must be able to work outside in all types of weather and tolerate being exposed to loud noises.
• Self-motivated - able to work without requiring close supervision.
• Must pass pre-employment drug-screening.
