Job Description

We are looking for a high-caliber executive to join the management of an O&G company in Kazakhstan, operating across production, transportation, and processing. It is entering a new phase of modernization, efficiency improvement, and long-term value creation.

This position is ideal for a strategic leader with strong financial & investment acumen and deep understanding of the O&G industry, who can drive governance, operational discipline, and growth at scale.

Key Responsibilities

• Represent the company at the Board of Directors level, ensuring effective strategic oversight and transparent governance.
• Contribute to the formulation and approval of the corporate strategy, annual budget, and long-term investment program.
• Oversee major CAPEX initiatives related to infrastructure development, technological upgrades, and production optimization.
• Monitor financial and operational performance, ensuring efficiency, cost control, and compliance with high standards of management.
• Collaborate closely with executive management, auditors, and key stakeholders to ensure alignment with strategic goals and sustainable business performance.
• Support the transition towards modern, environmentally responsible operations and improved ESG standards.

Candidate Profile

• Higher education in Finance, Economics, or Engineering; MBA or equivalent international qualification is an advantage.
• Proven leadership experience in the O&G sector, preferably in integrated or large-scale enterprises.
• Strong background in strategic management, investment or finance (Investment Director, Project Finance Director, CFO, or similar roles).
• Solid understanding of industrial asset management, capital projects, and performance monitoring systems.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with ability to operate effectively at the Board and executive levels.
• Integrity, strategic vision, and results-driven mindset.
