You got into this field because the work matters to you. The assessments, the plans, the moments when something clicks for a client. That’s what keeps you going.
At Sunnyhill, we’ve built a place where you can focus on that work. You’ll develop behavior support plans, coach and supervise your clinical team, and collaborate with individuals who are counting on your expertise. Your clinical judgment matters here, and you’ll feel that in how we structure caseloads, support supervision, and make decisions.
We know every organization says they have a great culture. But we verify this continually: our RBTs rate their relationships with BCBA supervisors at 3.6 to 3.7 out of 4.0 on internal satisfaction surveys, and that number has held steady across three consecutive quarters.
That kind of consistency takes intention. It means BCBAs here have the time and support to supervise well. It means when something isn’t working, we talk about it and fix it together.
Sunnyhill is an established organization serving children, adolescents, and adults with autism and related developmental disabilities. The work is meaningful and complex. The team around you is experienced and collaborative. And we genuinely care about getting it right for the people we serve.

Sunnyhill is a nonprofit organization that delivers life-changing services that transform communities. As one of the largest locally based health service providers in Jefferson County, St. Charles County, and Greater St. Louis Metro, we support individuals diagnosed with developmental disabilities with a team of 400 staff members. We strive to fulfill our mission by providing various person-centered services, including family navigation, behavior supports, independent living assistance, life skills development, housing opportunities, and socialization. We illuminate pathways for our community through education, expert environment cultivation, and advocacy to help individuals succeed.
Our inclusive community values are deeply embedded in our history. In 1978, eighteen families started Sunnyhill to provide their children with disabilities with a suitable camp experience. Despite limited recreational options, they worked tirelessly to secure funding, housing, and activities for future generations with developmental disabilities under the guidance of Monsieur Behrmann. Without a national anchor funding source, Sunnyhill's operations rely entirely on our community's support, including in-kind contributions, fundraising, grants, and government subsidies.
Our original location in Dittmer, Missouri, is now the fully inclusive accredited Adventures Camp, where we offer enriching summer programs that welcome campers during 6 to 8 weeks of summer programming. During the off-season, the campgrounds are a versatile venue for school field trips, retreats, family reunions, and community events. Our Adventure team also organizes weekend excursions for the individuals we serve, adding to our transformative offerings.
Our logo features a radiant sunrise over one of the camp's original structures in Dittmer, symbolizing our commitment to empowering individuals. Sunnyhill is proud to create a world of opportunities for people diagnosed with developmental disabilities.
