Responsibilities:

You will responsible for the comprehensive oversight of the design, integration, commissioning, operation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and fixing of the Building Management System (BMS) and Integrated Building Management System (iBMS) in both new and existing data centers, ensuring compliance with DC standards, operations requirements and critical facilities.

  • Collaborate with data center engineers, design and construction teams, facility operation personnel, project managers, vendors, and contractors.
  • Review and validate data center BMS system design, sequence of operation, and project data for BMS and control.
  • Proficiency in BMS architecture, including Direct Digital Control (DDC) systems, controllers, sensors, and field devices.
  • Extensive experience with BMS platforms such as Siemens Desigo, Honeywell, and Schneider Electric EcoStruxure.
  • Expertise in BMS communication protocols such as BACnet, Modbus, LonWorks, SNMP, and OPC.
  • Strong knowledge of HVAC, electrical systems, fire alarms, and security system integration within BMS.
  • Familiarity with international standards (ASHRAE, IEEE) and local automation/building management regulations.
  • Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills related to all BMS issues, sensor accuracy, system configurations, and network communication.
  • Strong data analysis capabilities for BMS performance optimization, energy efficiency, and system reliability.
  • Project management and coordination experience with consultants, contractors, and vendors.Strong verbal and written communication skills to interface with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Lead the design, configuration, and optimization of BMS/iBMS for power distribution, HVAC, security, and fire safety.
  • Evaluate and select OEM systems and ensure optimal technology integration.
  • Oversee BMS network infrastructure planning to ensure seamless integration.
  • Implement BMS analytics tools for predictive maintenance and energy efficiency
  • Monitor data center infrastructure in real time using BMS/iBMS dashboards.
  • Conduct troubleshooting and failure analysis for BMS-related issues.
  • Optimize alarm thresholds, escalation protocols, and reporting mechanisms.
  • Analyze Power Usage Effectiveness (PUE) and recommend strategies for efficiency.
  • Ensure compliance with industry regulations and company standards.
  • Manage vendor relationships to ensure SLA compliance.

Experience & Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in electrical/control/ electronics engineering or higher.
  • 12+ years of experience in BMS/iBMS operations, maintenance, engineering, and T&C including substantial work within data centers and mission-critical environments.
  • 7+ years of experience in data center projects, with an engineering focus and Tier III/IV data center environment expertise as well as T&C and operations.
  • Good knowledge of tools such as AutoCAD, Revit, and MS Office.
  • Strong background in electrical, mechanical, automation, and control systems
  • Ability to address issues or incidents in mission-critical environments day or night.
  • Availability to handle on-call requirements and lead major incident resolutions onsite.
  • Familiarity with industry standards (IEC, IEEE, NFPA) and energy-saving practices.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of electrical design, including single-line diagrams (SLDs), wiring diagrams, sequence of operation, and equipment layout.
  • Expertise in factory acceptance testing (FAT), site acceptance testing (SAT), testing & commissioning, and ISOT from start to end.
  • Advanced troubleshooting skills for electrical systems.
  • Strong understanding of MEPF drawings, single-line diagrams (SLDs), and equipment layout designs.
  • Familiarity with advanced cooling technologies, including free cooling, liquid cooling, and economizers
